Today I want to talk about the hero, Prometheus. Prometheus is the man who is descends of the Titans. He is the great hero who steals fire from the sun. In that age, people live shivering with the cold because there is no fire. Prometheus says to himself if people have fire, they could at least warm themselves and cook their food. Then he goes to begs Jupiter to give fire to human, but Jupiter says “No spark will I give”. But Prometheus set his heart on helping mankind, and he doesn’t give up. Finally, he steals fire from the sun so that people have fire to use.

  2. Hello, Vinia
I'm Helen and my student ID is 99540325.
I would like to talk about the hero Perseus who is the son of Jupiter and Danae.
Because of the curse, he and his mother were expelled.
After drifting, he and his mother stayed at an island.
The king of that island bade him to get the head of Medusa.
With the help of Athena and Mercury, he went to meet the Gray Sisters.
Using his wisdom, he knew he had to visit the Maidens who take care of Golden Apples.
With the Cap of Darkness he killed the Medusa successfully and met his wife, Andromeda, on the way back home.
After finishing the mission, he took his mother back home but unfortunately killed his grandfather.

I want to talk about Heracles.

Heracles was the semi-divine son of Zeus and Alcmene. The most famous of his adventures was achieving 12 impossible missions
as compensation for killing his wife and children after he had been driven crazy by Hera.
The tasks he was asked to accomplish:

    1.To kill the Nemean lion.
    2.To destroy the Lernaean Hydra.
    3.To capture the Ceryneian Hind.
    4.To capture the Erymanthian Boar.
    5.To clean the Augean Stables.
    6.To kill the Stymphalian Birds.
    7.To capture the Cretan Bull.
8.To round up the Mares of Diomedes.
9.To steal the Girdle of Hippolyte.
10.To herd the Cattle of Geryon.
11.To fetch the Apples of Hesperides.
    12.To capture Cerberus

  4. Hi Vinia, I'm Ken 99540331.

    I chose Odysseus.

Odysseus tricked the enemy into bringing a huge
    wooden horse into Troy.
The Trojans didn't know that Greek soldiers were hidden in it, under the command of Odysseus.
At that very night, when the Trojans slept, Odysseus and his soldiers emerged from the wooden horse's belly and opened the castle gate, which not any country can ever destroy down.
This is the great deeds of Odysseus which led to the victory of Greek over Troy.

I would like to talk about my favorite hero , Hercules. About a few years ago, A movie had release from the dream factory , call "The Hercules" , and it talked about hercules deed , but not exactly same like what the book said.
Anyway, Hercules mother is Io and his father is Jupiter , after his mother went to the Nile and be a queen, Ages afterward, the great-grandson of the great-grandson of Io's great-grandson , Hercules , broke the chains of Prometheus and saved him from the fierce eagles , set that mighty friend of mankind free.

  6. Hello, Vinia. I'm Betty, 99540322.
I'd like to talk about the hero, Hercules.
It's said that Hercules is the most magnificent hero in the world.
He had done lots of great things like killing the Nemean lion, capturing the Cretan Bull, and
    cleaning the Augean Stables.
Though Hercules isn't so smart as Odysseus or Nestor, he uses his wits to overcome difficulties instead of just boldly using his great strength.
Besides, he is also a playful figure, who used games to relax from his labor and get along well with the children.
Hercules is said to have "made the world safe for mankind" and to be its benefactor.

  7. Hi Venia, I am Joseph 99540301
I would like to tell you my favorite hero in Greek mythology which is Prometheus.
Prometheus was forethought. He was intent for making the world wiser and better. He was the the kindest god to human. He took pity on human. Seeing that people suffer more that the wild beasts, he decided to bring the sun to human. Despite Zeus’s refusal, he took a long stalk to catch a fire back to earth. He showed people how to warm themself and build fire from the coals. In addition,he taught people many things to live a better life. However, Zeus was not satisfied with that so he asked his blacksmith,Vulcan to bind him with iron chain on the peack of Caucasus.
Prometheus relly suffered a lot but without any groan. I love Promethus so much. I regarded him as a god who standed out from all the god and goddesses. He is the one who cared about people more than he cared about himself. His unselfishness really touched me. He is a great model of all of us.

  9. Hello, Vinia, I'm 99540319,
I'd like to pick Perseus to answer the question.
Perseus was asked to kill the Medusa by the king who wanted to marry his mother.
Perseus successfully accomplished his mission with the help of Hermis and Athena.
Wearing a pair of flying slippers, he encountered a fair girl tied on a rock in the middle of the sea, whom was called Andromeda. He saved her from the monster, and made her his wife.
He used the Medusa's head to turn the evil king into stone, so that he wouldn't bother his mother anymore.

  10. Hello, Vinia. I'm Justin 99540307.
I would like to choose Apollo to answer the question.

Apollo is the son of powerful Zeus and fair Leto.
He went to the center of the world, Parnassus, and killed the Serpent Python. Later on, he built a city called Delphi and people there were taught by Apollo to be gentle and wise. From then on, Parnassus was a pleasant place filled with music and song.
Apollo met Daphne on the summit of Mount Ossa and fell in love with her at first sight. As a result, he chased after Daphne and begged for her answer but Daphne was so afraid that she kept running. In the end, Daphne asked Father Peneus to save her, and then she was transformed into a laurel tree. Apollo was so grievous that he decided to wear the wreath made by laurel leaves in memory of the lovely maiden.

  11. Hi Venia, I am Amanda, 97540452. I would like to talk about my favorite hero Odysseus.

He was the originator of the Trojan horse, the plan by which the Greeks were finally able to take the city of Troy itself. He did so many great deeds. He freed his men from the pleasure-giving drugs of the Lotus-Eaters, rescued them from the cannibalism of the Cyclopes and the enchantments of Circe. He slayed his wife Penelopes' suitors and retook his kingdom.

  12. Hi,Vinia.I'm Vicky99540323.
I'd like to choose Prometheus. I think We human-beings should all respect and thank him, for he stole the fire from Zeus and gave it to us. In the past, humans lived and ate like a beast. They lived in a cave. It was Prometheus who taught our ancestors how to make themselves warm, and how to build other fires from the coals, and how to cook the food, and how to make the weapons. And then, with those basic skills, he also taught them how to build houses of wood and stone, and how to tame sheep and cattle, and how to plow and sow and reap, and how to protect themselves from the storms of winter and the beasts of the woods. He taught them a thousand things in total. So, if it had not been for Prometheus, we humans would not have had a wonderful life today.

  15. Hi, I'm Neo 98540451.
I want to talk about Dionysus.

Dionysus, a fertility god and a god of the vine, was the son of Zeus and Semele. He served to liberate the emotions and to inspire men with joy. Like the grape vine, he suffered death but was resurrected. His female worshipers were the frenzied Marnads. Yet out of his celebration grew the tragic theater. He was also known as Bacchus, Latin Liber, a god of drunkness. Furthermore, All Greek tragedies, comedies and satyr plays may have owed their origin to the worship of Dionysus.

I choose to talk about the hero, Theseus.
A king of Athens, Aegeus married Aethra, who is the daughter of king Troezen. However, when Theseus was born, Aegeus had already sailed back to Athens for saving the country from the attack of Crete's king, Minos. Aegeus left his sword and sandals hidden under the big stone for his son. Therefore, Theseus trained himself so hard for moving the stone. Finally getting the things, he went on a journey by land to Athens. He went though many dangerous situations. For example, he killed a robber giant, Club-carrier and the evil Pine-bender and also on. Eventually, he arrived in Athens and got together with his father. What he had done during the journey made him a great hero in people's heart.

  20. Hi, I am Daisy (99540342).
I would like to talk about Prometheus.

Prometheus is known as the protector and benefactor of human beings. He gave mankind a number of gifts including fire. Because of he, human can keep warm, cook, make weapon to kill the beasts. For this Zeus punished Prometheus by having him chained on the peak of Caucasus with an eagle tearing at his skin. I think he is an unselfishness god for his kindness to human beings. We should thank him a lot. Without him, we cannot have bright and shiny life today.

I would like to talk about the great hero, Prometheus.
The titan Prometheus, the savior of mankind, is bound to the rocky peak in Caucasus by Zeus partly because he gives fire to men and partly because Zeus forces him to disclose a fatal secret.
We are told that Chiron, the Centaur, dies for him, or that Hercules delivers him from his bounds. Prometheus, whose name means forethought, is largely described in Aeschylus’ Prometheus bound and in Shelley’s Prometheus Unbound.

At that time when he finally found his father, his cousins plotted to kill him but failed. Knowing that the king of Crete had made an unequal treaty on their country, Theseus decided to fight against the monster in the Labyrinth, and deservedly he won. For what he had done, I think he is qualified to get the name of hero.

When it comes to the "Hero"of the Greek Mythology,I would think to myself, Theseus. In virtue of his continual practices to make good shape, he could achieve great deeds as same as the immortal Hero like "Heracles"or the Titan "Proetheus",and..........
Theseus is the son of the king of the Athens. As his father,Aegeus, was threatened by his own nephews and was also wrapped by the wicked with, Medea, who even planned to slay the great hero Theseus,Theseus determined to sail back home to save his father from the possibility of being killed. What's more,Aegeus had left something to test Theseus's strength that made Theseus toil all day running, leaping, throwing, and lifting in order to lift the stone that Aegeus left him to overcome numbers of challenges, and obstacles.
Finally, instead of falling short of everyone's expectations, Theseus knock down anything on his way included The Robber Giant:Club-Carrier, Pine-Bender:Sinis,and also the monster with a face of a wild bull. But,at the very end,a tragedy still occured. Waiting anxiously for the arrival of his son,Aegeus had a slip of the eye and........................

    Alas!!What a fucking sorrow!!I couldn't help shedding tears.

I would like to talk about Hercules, the son of Zeus and Alcmena. He wears the lion skin and carries a club as his weapon. He is the offspring of Zeus's affair with yet another women and was fed by Hera's breast thus gaining his immortal strength, size, and skill. After Hera found out that Zeus had deceived her into breast feeding Hercules she sent Hercules into a frenzy in which he killed all of his children. In his search for atonement he was sent on a series of quests which are known as the Labors of Hercules. These quests compose the majority of Hercules' great deeds, of which he slayed numerous monsters and made the world a better place for mankind.

In addition, he also does a lot of great deeds. For example, he kills many robbers: 1. Club-carrier who sometimes abducts not only the people but also the animas. 2. pine-bender named Sinis who catches people and binds them on the top of the tree and sees their body torn in sunder. 3. Sciron: make strangers wash his feet and while they are doing so, he will kick them over the cliff to be eaten by his pet, turtle. Today, I want to talk about the picture 1.
The hero in the picture is Theseus.
Every spring seven maidens were put on board and sent to Crete to pay the tribute of Minos required.
Once, Theseus told Aegeus that he could go with the people who were drawn.
Then, with his power he could slay the monster.
After arriving to the Crete, the king’s daughter, Ariadne, fell in love with Theseus.
Then she helped Theseus to kill the moster, Minotaur.
In the Labyrinth, Theseus was struggling with Minotaur.
He cut his head down then thrust the sword into his heart.
    He killed Monotaur finally.

I chose Pic D to describe the hero.
The hero who was chained on the mountain is Prometheus. He's one of the sons of Titans who had been sent in chains. Prometheus was always thinking of future and making things ready. He was kind to human and tought them many things. The most important thing that Prometheus did for human is that he stole fire for humam's good. Therefore, Zeus was so angry at him that he made up the first woman, Pandora, to harm Prometheus and his younger brother with Pandora's box. After the evil thing spread all over the world, Zeus had someone chained Prometheus on the mountain in order to punish him. After many years, Prometheus was rescued by Hercules, offspring of Io.

I would like to talk about odysseus
he is a man who like to take adventures but he never risks his life doing that.
And when he and his sailors are on the sea to go somewhere.Because Circe talks him to put wax in their ears for fear that they will hear the beautiful songs sung by sirens. But he asks he sailors to tie him because he want to hear their singing .i think it is one of his heroic behavior.

  49. Hi, Vinia. I'm Gemini. 99540324

I'd like to talk about the Hero in picture D who was chained on the mountain top, Prometheus.

He took a pity on humans who shiver with cold, so he built a fire for them and taught them thousand things. For example, Prometheus showed them how to build houses of wood and stone, how to tame sheep and cattle, how to plow and sow and reap, and how to protect themselves from the storms of winter and the beasts of the woods. He also taught them how to dig in the earth for copper and iron, how to melt the ore, and how o hammer it into shape and fashion from it the tools and weapons which they needed in peace and war.
But the Jupiter was mad at Prometheus' stealing fire from the sun. Zeus bade servants to chain Prometheus on the topmost peak of the Caucasus Mountains.

I'd like to talk about the hero Prometheus, because i think he is very brave and very kind, not only did he teach human many things such as protecting themselves and fight against the beasts, he was protecting human beings from severe weather, despite Zeus' objection, Prometheus stole fire from the Gods and brought it to human and use fire to teach human beings to make their life better, i think to me, Prometheus is really a great Hero with a kind and brave heart.

I'd love to talk about the great deed of Prometheus. I think he is such a great hero with a kind heart. He stole fire for people to help them escape from darkness. Also, he taught people how to build houses and raise animals such as cattle. Besides, when he was bonded in Caucasus, he tolerated the torment form eagle and thunderbolt. He didn't rebel them, and he even encourage IO to be coruageous and go to Nile.
I think Prometheus is really a kind-hearted hero suffering form many torture.

  54. In picture A, Theseus slays the minotaur with the tools that were blessed and given by Athena. He used his cunning brain to devise a way in which he and his men can focus on killing the minotaur without getting lost in the labyrinth. Theseus is a brave young chap who is not afraid to do many things which includes killing beasts.

  55. Prometheus's greatest deeds were those that he did for mankind.
He tricked Zeus at a fest at which was to decide the kind of offering humans should give to their Gods (He hid beef in an ox's stomach and bones in fat; Zeus chose the second one). As a result humans could keep the meat for themselves and needed only to offer the bones.
Zeus was so angry at this that he kept fire hidden from them.
Then Prometheus stole the fire away from Zeus as gave it to the humans.
